America’s Bought and Paid for “Democracy”

A joint study from Princeton and Northwestern Universities has concluded that what the American citizenry would like their politicians to accomplish has virtually zero chance of happening, unless these wishes align with the monied special interests that intrinsically own the politicians.

In other words, the game is so rigged that your voice has the statistical relevance of “background noise” to the implementation of policy.

Democrats, Republicans, Conservatives, Liberals, Green, Socialist, Independents and even those disinterested in politics (it doesn’t matter the affiliation), all agree that our politics are corrupt and bought by money from special interest groups. This is why nothing seems to get done for the benefit of most Americans.

So let’s take the money out of our politics!

We can change the legalized bribery we have now by making campaign financing purely publicly funded, and outlaw private political funding. Yes, it can be done.

Imagine having candidates for office, sign a binding pledge to introduce legislation at every instance to change the campaign laws from private to public funding exclusively! In exchange, they would receive our vote, no matter what their party affiliation. If no candidates sign, a third-party Single-Issue candidate would be included on the ballot.

This is a simple solution with incredibly difficult details, as we are sure you know.

Every opportunity, legal and illegal, will be used to squelch this movement by those that own our government. We cannot match the media defamation they can afford because we are truly a grassroots movement.

The only power we have is numbers and the major problem is making enough of our friends and neighbors aware that
